The truth about the House changing dealers

Many players are superstitious about The House changing dealers, thinking that it's done to cool down a hot table so the players will lose. The truth is that on the craps table dealers are rotated every 20 minutes. Each dealer usually works on "Stick" for 20 minutes and then rotates to either "Base" position for 20 minutes or 40 minutes and then takes a 20-minute break. The dealers don't get a half hour or an hour for lunch or meals, instead they work 60 and break 20 throughout their shift. Usually, the only other time that a dealer is placed on the table by The House is if there is heavy table action and a rookie dealer is in over his head. On such occasions The House will bring in a tenured dealer to service the table action. The House planting a particular dealer on the craps table would serve no particular advantage.
