NEW “FIRE BET” GETTING ACTION

THE BONE MAN, author and developer of the NextShooter.com site recently reviewedthe table action in Vegas, at Harrah’s and at The Rio. It was interesting to seethat there was considerable action on the new “FIRE BET” table layouts. The “FIREBET” is indeed featured at these casinos on ALL tables. It is interesting to notethe considerable amount of play on this new wager as the HOUSE ADVANTAGE has beencalculated by a most reputable source to be 20.7% making it the absolute WORST beton the table, topping the already TERRIBLE “ANY SEVEN” (16.67%). In ADDITION…all the FIELD bet pay-offs on these tables have reduced the pay-off on the 12 from3-to-1 DOWN to 2-to-1 thereby raking even more money in to the HOUSE.

PLEASE TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONE

As a matter of information, casinos do not allow electronic devices of ANY typeat the table games. All you Cell Phone FREAKS are encouraged therefore to eitherturn your cell phones OFF or POLITELY step away from the game to answer or makepersonal cell phone calls. The use of a cell phone at the table is just plain RUDEto your fellow players AND to the dealers. Player courtesy at the tables and towardsthe casino staff can have a dramatic impact on your comps.

CALL BETS

A Call Bet is a bet made by the player, usually at the last second, and usuallyafter the dice have been sent out to the shooter. These bets are usually made byplayers who are either fishing in their wallet for some cash OR who are having troubleorganizing their chips to post up a new wager. Call Bets are usually accepted bythe Base Dealers and/or the Boxman (woman) if the wager is clearly announced bythe player BEFORE THE DICE LAND and IF THE DEALER ALSO CALLS AND ACCEPTS (BOOKS)THE BET. It is the BASE DEALERS and STICKPESONS responsibility to SEE that the playerhas the CASH or THE CHIPS to cover the wager as announced OR they will call NO BET.The Boxman (woman) may also call NO BET. It is far better for players NOT to useCALL BETS as they can often lead to disappointment if a winning result hits as aresult of the dice and there is a NO BET call by table personnel. Though some crapstables have NO CALL BETS printed on the layout MOST CALL BETS are accepted at thetable if the player chips and/or cash is seen and can cover the bet.
