NEW CONTENT – SOME THINGS YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT CRAPS

What to do if some other player picks up YOUR winning bet…

Read all about it at NextShooter.com.

TIPPING DEALERS

Dealers appreciate your considerations in providing tips (TOKES) for good service
as this, in most casinos, represents MOST OF THEIR EARNINGS. (Many players do not
KNOW that dealer base pay is MINIMUM WAGE, or barely more.)

Most players make bets for the dealers in the PROPOSITION BOX in the middle of the
table… YO, Any Craps, Midnight (12), Ace-Duce, Hardways etc. Prop Bets are NOT
the BEST bets for the dealers as they represent a high house advantage.

Other options which are BETTER are:

HAND INS – HAND the tip to the dealer after a good hand or at the end of your session
as there will be NO RISK of a LOSS. Remember, losing dealer bets go to THE HOUSE
bank.

FLAT BETS ON THE PASS LINE OR DON’T PASS LINE.

FLAT BETS with ODDS.

ADDING A TIP BET on top of your already established ODDS and behind your FLAT BET.
(NO house advantage)

PLACING A NUMBER for the dealers.

YOU CAN ANNOUNCE A PARLAY BET FOR THE DEALERS.

PLAYER CONTROL – In some casinos you can actually manage dealer bets and place sustained
winnings up in a separate section of your bank rack and hand the total winnings
in at any time during or at the end of your session. This way the dealers will actually
SEE the totality of your appreciation for their services. This is probably the most
sophisticated way to tip and rarely seen.

SO… YOU WANT TO BE A CRAPS DEALER?

If you have ever fantasized about becoming a craps dealer we suggest that you refer
to our partner website at www.crapsdealers.com which is in its initial development.
The site posts critical information for craps dealing job seekers. Another reputable
source of career information for casino dealers is THE DEALER NEWS which is published
in Las Vegas and which, distributed monthly, posts the WEEKLY TOKE INFORMATION for
major Vegas casinos. Contact THE DEALERS EMPLOYMENT AGENCY, 1801 E. Tropicana #37,
Las Vegas, NV 89119, 702-891-0030. Ask for RON.

CRAPS QUIZ

Here is the answer to the May 2004 vote/quiz:

When one or both of the dice bounce off of the table, any player can request for
“Same Dice”.

ANSWER: Any player on the table can and often do request the “same dice” for the
shooter. But the “same dice” will only be returned to the Shooter if THE SHOOTER
makes the request.

(We apologize for repeating this quiz which was posted once before, but this past
month our site author, “THE BONE MAN”, was sidelined due to some minor surgery.)

June 2004 Quiz:

The best way to maximize your comps is to:

  • Get to know the BOXMAN
  • Make Place Bets all across the Point Numbers
  • Always take Maximum Odds on Pass Line Flat Bets
  • Make Multiple Bets
