NextShooter.com NewsletterMay 2004BINION'S HORSESHOE, LAS VEGAS CONTINUES CRAPS IMPLOSION
The Bone Man site recently toured the newly-owned and slightly re-decorated downtown Las Vegas Horseshoe and has discovered that the once-famous craps pit of 13 tables is now downsized once again from 7 to 5 tables. In addition the one-time incredible posting of 100X Odds, which downsized to 10X and then to 5X now posts the Strip Odds configuration of 3-4-5x Odds. The "Shoe" is certainly no longer the Bone Man's downtown recommendation as a casino of choice for the serious craps player. Instead, we recommend Main Street Station.
KEEPING TRACK OF YOUR BETS
Come Bettors and Place Bettors should understand that wagers in the Bank boxes near the dealer(s) are placed exactly and relative to where the players are STANDING at the table. There are 8 player positions on each side of a standard craps table. The positions are numbered 1 through 8 from the STICKMAN to the base DEALER(S). Come Bets are paid FIRST. Place Bets are paid AFTER COME BETS. So, don't be a BUTTHEAD and grind the dealer to get paid before it is YOUR TURN TO GET PAID. Come Bets and Place Bets are all paid BY POSITION, 1 through 8... from "STICK" to "BASE". So, for example if you are standing at a full table, with Place Bets, and you are next to either dealer... JUST KEEP YOUR DAMN PANTS ON to take or press your bet. Propositon Bets in the middle of the table are paid LAST. So if you just hit a HARDWAYS, just be patient. There is nothing worse to dealers than players who don't know what the hell they are doing and who can't even keep track of their own DAMN BETS!
CRAPS QUIZ
Answer to April Quiz:
True or False? On Proposition Bets... A THREE-WAY SEVEN is the same as ANY SEVEN (Big Red).
This is a trick question so everybody and nobody got this answer right or wrong. A THREE-WAY SEVEN is the same on STRIP ODDS but pays MORE on DOWNTOWN ODDS. If you are a proposition player and do not know the difference between DOWNTOWN and STRIP pay-offs on Proposition Bets then all we can say is that you may have been throwing a lot of money down a rat hole for who knows how long.

May 2004 Quiz:
When one or both of the dice bounce off of the table, any player can request for "Same Dice".
