NextShooter.com NewsletterJanuary 2004SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
KEEP TRACK OF YOUR CASINO OF CHOICE
As a player it would be wise to keep track of your favorite casino. This way you will not be surprised if the entire property is sold to another owner which can affect your credit line, comps and just the way you are treated in general. In the past few years there have certainly been many surprises and there will be additional surprises for you in 2004. An easy way to check the status of ownership is by checking the Casino Death Watch.
CRAPS PIGS
This article is dedicated to all craps players who consistently behave like a PIG. These PIGS have a habit of appearing every day at just about every craps table in the world. The following list shows how they treat the craps table like a TROUGH and not a sanctuary for serious gamers.
The Craps Pig:
1. Diddles with the dice and takes forever to get a roll.
2. Continues to bounce the dice off the table.
3.Intentionally or unintentionally throws dice into cheque stacks.
4. Rolls gaming chips all over the damn table.
5. Spills ashes or drinks on the table.
6. Throws money down and makes a bet while the dice are in the air.
7. Points finger at winning wager and expects to be paid out of sequence of payoffs to other players.
8. Whines and moans when a Hardway hits and can't remember that his/her bet WENT DOWN about six rolls ago.
9. Throws Place Bets into the dealer's Bank.
10. Has no clue about how bets are boxed (placed on the layout) and can't keep track of his (her) bets.
11. Throws cash on the table (often in The Field) without stating whether it is a bet or a request for buy-in.
12. Mumbles or does not clearly state the nature of his (her) bet.
13. Barber poles bets (bets multiple denominations of chips, so it's a hassle for the dealers to figure the payoff).
14. Stiffs the dealers.
The worst offender is the player who consistently calls "SAME DICE" after bouncing them off the table. This a sure sign of a superstitious loser who does not realize that the dots on the dice are all placed in the same damn position and who always manages to slow down the game when there is serious money on the table.

10 WAYS TO SPOT A LOSER
10 WAYS TO SPOT A LOSER
1. Player does not take Odds on his Pass Line bet after establishing a point, but makes a wager anywhere else on the table.
2. Player makes a minimum wager on Pass Line or Don't Pass Line, wins, and then makes another minimum wager. (Grinder)
3. Player makes a wager on Pass Line or Don't Pass Line, loses, and then "Doubles Up" and continues to Double Up. (Martingale Betting System, an ancient loser)
4. Player makes a wager on Pass Line and any proposition bet. (Thinks s/he's "buying insurance").

CRAPS QUIZ
Here is the answer to the December 2003 vote/quiz:
On a $500 table limit with 2X Odds the maximum LAY on the DON'T side 4 or 10 would be:
$500 to win $250 ? $1,000 to win $500 ?
The correct answer to the December quiz is... $1,000 to win $500. Congratulations, most of you got the answer correct as the table maximum on The Don't Side is based on the WIN total, not on the BET.
